KINGSTON, Jamaica – Although a final programme for the race meeting of Saturday, April 6, has not been made public as yet, Quickgallop.com understands that 11 races are on course to be offered by the promoting company.
Saturday, will be celebrated as Jockeys’ Day at the Park.
As was reported yesterday on this website, no Overnight programme was made available with raceday nominations extended to 11:00 am today.
The lack of raceday entries were primarily as a result of racing professionals, that is, jockeys, grooms and trainers, not being licenced according to the Rules of Racing.
Two extensions were given to the licencing dates by the governing body of horse racing in Jamaica – the Jamaica Racing Commission.
