KINGSTON, Jamaica – Trainer Patrick “Wacky” Lynch made it two in a row in the third of ten races on the non-spectator race day at Caymanas Park, a short while ago.

Racing in a Restricted Allowance V event for four-year-olds and upwards (colts and geldings), Bala Gris was kept behind the leaders Schlesinger (Oshane Nugent) and the imported 2-5 favourite Alhamdulillah (Anthony Thomas).

When the horses entered the straight with two of the five furlongs (round) left in the contest, Schlesinger was holding on for all he was worth, while Dane Dawkins got Bala Gris running on the inside rails.

Alhamdulillah was running green at this stage on the outside.

Bala Gris took over with a furlong to go but Alhamdulillah came with a determined and strong effort – and just fail to catch Bala Gris by a head.

Bala Gris who went off at odds of 7-2.
