KINGSTON, Jamaica – He was beaten badly the last time out in September but today (October 24) Toona Cilita confirmed that he is still the best horse in training at the moment with a commanding performance to win the one mile the The Viceroy Trophy for top rated horses.

Racing against five rivals while carrying top weight, Toona Ciliata with Dane Nelson aboard watched as stablemate Universal Boss and foreigner Sir Alton vied for ascendency on the front end.

Sir Alton (Anthony Thomas) pulled away from Toona Ciliata after leaving the three-furlong marker with Nelson deciding to take the inside rails when they entered the straight.

The two had a brief duel before Toona Ciliata showed his abundant  class in the final furlong – winning by four lengths.

The final time recorded by Toona Ciliata was 1:36.2.

Sir Alton was second with Summer Sun third.

This was the second winner on the day for Nunes and Nelson.
