KINGSTON, Jamaica – Given the number of runners and the big fields, many punters were expecting that the return to racing race day today at Caymanas Park would be lined with many outsiders.

After five races, there were no outsiders obliging as five consecutive favourites were victorious.

Then came the sixth, an Optional Claimer [$250,000 - $200,000] run over four furlongs straight.

Super Bolt running at long odds of 28-1, despite drawn at post position one, considered to be the worst draw in a straight race, tacked over to the middle of the track and then to the outside rails in the field of 15, to win the race from the fast finishing Sweet Destiny.

Super Bolt was ridden by apprentice Matthew Bennett and gave his trainer veteran Richard Todd a rare winner.

Super Bolt paid $1,492 to win and $466 to place.

The exacta came in at $47,656 and the exacta at $9,812.
