The evergreen Trevor ‘Slicer’ Simpson takes the ninth on a sharp Nevada

KINGSTON, Jamaica – With all of the races on today’s card being run over the shorter distances, there can be little wonder that the known speedsters are dominating.

It was Nevada with crowd favourite Trevor ‘Slicer’ Simpson on board that disputed the lead with Fearless Abbi in the ninth before sprinting away in the last furlong of the prescribed 5 ½ furlong distance to win by five lengths.

Nevada and Simpson were never troubled as trainer Owen Sharpe earned another winner.

Nevada clocked a workmanlike 1:07.1 for the distance winning at odds of 3-5.

Second went to Bloodsweatandtears was second with Special Counsel third.
