Super Amia at 7-2 gets Caymanas Sunday racing underway

KINGSTON, Jamaica – A front running effort by the heavily raced Super Amia at odds of 5-2 got the nine race Caymanas Sunday card on its way moments ago.

Although challenged in the final furlong by 22-1 chance Bold Smile (Aaron Chatrie), Super Amia ridden by apprentice Oshane Nugent and trained by Dennis Lee rallied strongly to claim victory by a neck.

Nuclear Emma the 4-5 favourite finished third.

Super Amia was winning only her second race from 42 career starts.

Nugent was on his 31st winner for the year while trainer Lee was notching his eighth this season.
