KINGSTON, Jamaica – Prince Charles revived his obvious love for the 6 ½ furlongs distance when he won at the Overnight Allowance level in the Caymanas Saturday ninth.

It was a mad rush for the lead involving several horses when the gates opened. No one horse of the five or six vying for  ascendency gained full control while Reyan Lewis on Prince Charles was in the cat bird’s seat.

Trained by champion Anthony Nunes, Prince Charles started his push for victory with three furlongs to go entering the straight right next to then leader Wilson (Devon A Thomas).

Lewis and Prince Charles took control and went about their business despite what seemed to be challenges from behind.

Princes Charles won by 1 ¾ lengths in a time of 1:19.2.

The win by Prince Charles completed a double on the day for Nunes and Lewis.
