KINGSTON, Jamaica – Leading rider, apprentice Christopher Mamdeen capped the Golden Friday race card at Caymanas Park today (August 31) by closing off a triple.

Mamdeen gave Synronize a patient ride, as he sat behind leader Son of Spartacus (Abigail Able) in the Restricted Allowance V for five-year-olds and up non-winners of two run over six furlongs.

Son of Spartacus faded badly in the stretch drive leaving Mamdeen and Synchronize to claim victory. Synchronize is trained by Borris McIntosh.

This was Mamdeen’s third winner on the day, as he had earlier scored on Nyoka Classic for trainer Donovan Russell and Another Vigorous for trainer Rowan Mathie.

With these three wins Mamdeen lengthened his lead in the jockeys’ championship with a total of 72 winners. He is followed by Reyan Lewis with 55 winners.
