Mamacita wins Caymanas Saturday third in battle of the leading jockeys

KINGSTON, Jamaica – It was a straight duel between Mamacita ridden by Anthony Thomas and Just Trick Me with Dane Nelson on board in the just competed Caymanas Saturday third.

Nelson riding Just Trick Me made most of the running with the jockey deciding to move from the inside closer to the outside rails.

Thomas on the Wayne DaCosta trained Mamacita chose instead to keep a straight line.

Just Trick Me led most of the way before Thomas brought Mamacita with a searing run in the final furlong to flash by for the victory.

Thomas started the race day with 80 wins, five more than Nelson in the jostle for championship honours. Thomas now leads by six wins

Mamacita was winning for the third time from 22 career starts.
