KINGSTON, Jamaica – There will be 10 races on Wednesday, (April 7, 2021) card at Caymanas Park.

THE QUICK GALLOPER examines the 101 entries nominated in the 11 races and picked out things to note for readers.

THE THORNBIRD STAKES

1 – The three-year-old Classic seeking fillies dominate the scene with the running of the Thornbird Stakes -  7 furlongs.

2 – Three of the fillies entered have won two races, Action Ann, She’s A Wonder, and Hoist The Mast. The rest are all at the non-winners of two-level.

3 – Of the lot of 10 runners in the starters, Three Times Lucky has the most starts – 10. Three Times Lucky is followed by Amy The Butcher with 9 and Sure Curlin with 8.

4 – Sensational Slam leads the list of stallions with two offspring, Sensational Ending, and Action Ann.

5 – The dam of She’s A Wonder is Jamaican Dream. She’s A Wonder is the ninth offspring of Jamaican Dream to race. The others are Ponsetta, Angel of Joy, Sweet Browning, Leanne, Boy Wonder, Red Eagle, Miss Formality, and Fascination.
