Ridden by Dane Nelson for trainer Fitzgerald Richard, God of Love took off from the gates as if possessed and he was not for the catching on the day - try as his 11 rivals may.
God of Love clocked 1:11.2 for the six furlongs with straight specialist Truly Amazing (Aaron Chatrie) finishing second and Drummer Boy (Jerome Innis) third.
The 2-5 favourite Sir Alton after showing up early faded out of contention.
