KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jockey Dane Nelson is proving that the race for the jockeys’ crown is far from over after he posted his fourth winner a short while ago aboard the Spencer Chung trained Chief of State in the eighth of 10 offerings at Caymanas Park.
This was Nelson’s fourth winner in succession and the second on the day for Chung who also had the distinction of seeing his other entrant in the Restricted Allowance 3 contest run over four furlongs, Doom Patrol finish second.
Third was Sty Stalloon (Phillip Parchment).
Nelson with his four winners today has gained two wins on leader Anthony Thomas who thus far has won twice.
