KINGSTON, Jamaica - A bay filly bred by new stallion Savoy Stomp out the Graeme Hall mare Rumble sold for $6.1 million a short while ago at the 2020 TOBA Yearling Sale held in the Official Car Park at Caymanas Park.

The yearling was purchased by Derby winning owner Carlton Watson and will more than likely be trained by Wayne DaCosta. Savoy Stomp who currently stands at HAM STABLES is by Medaglia D’Oro – Crystal Current.

This is his first crop as a stallion in Jamaica, while Rumble is the dam of 1000 and Oaks winner Above and Beyond and current two-year-old racer Further Beyond.

After 10 yearlings withdrawn and 11 went unsold, 45 went through the Yearling Sale and fetched a total of $68. 4 million.

Four yearlings went for $2 million and over, while 18 yearlings sold for $1 million and over for what was deemed a good sale by organisers following the onset of the coronavirus pandemic.
