Fighting Valbee gets the winning job done after long wait in Caymanas Sunday sixth

DISTANCE – Four furlongs  

KINGSTON, Jamaica – It took the Michael Marlowe trained – apprentice Ramon Nepare ridden Fighting Valbee all of 15 starts to win her first race. Fighting Valbee was winning after coming off a break of 505 days.

The four-year-old filly was successful in the sixth race on the Caymanas  Sunday card.

Nepare, who was also earning his first win since the start of this year had to pull out all the stops to achieve his goal as Riddim Up (Anthony Thomas) was a persistent challenger especially in the final yardage.

Yet, the young man stood firm and got his long awaited success.

Second went to Riddim Up and third was Uncle Bally (Oshane Nugent).
