Eagle One soars in at 34-1 in Caymanas Saturday seventh

KINGSTON, Jamaica - Eagle One got one over fellow importee with a thrilling victory at long odds of 34-1 in the Caymanas Saturday seventh.

Eagle One (Carlos Blake), one of five runners out of seven in the contest trained by Wayne DaCosta, set out in front but was passed by Awesome Choice (Jerome Innis) and his stablemate and 1-9 favourite Lure of Lucy. Eagle One raced at this stage quite contended in the third slot.

Awesome Choice blazed splits of 23.1 x 45.4 and took the runners into the lane with Lure of Lucy (on the inside) and Eagle One close by.

Eagle One then took over and try as Lure of Lucy may, she could not get by Eagle One. One Don (Dane Dawkins) was third.
