Double for trainer Wayne Parchment as Azul takes Caymanas Saturday fourth – no favourite yet after four races

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Trainer Wayne Parchment saddled his second winner on the Caymanas Saturday card when his charge Azul running at odds of 6-1 ran out an easy winner.

Parchment was also successful in the day’s second with Smoke Haze.

Azul won a Restricted Allowance call for four-year-olds and upwards – non winners of two going five furlongs round.

Jockey Orlando Foster played the waiting on Azul as he sat way of the early splits of 23.2 x 47.0 set by the front runners Super Amia (Nicholas Hibbert) and Gimmipalinka (Anthony Thomas).

In the straight, Foster decided to take the route on the inside rails and quickly went by all to score by 1 ½ lengths over Super Amia with Celebration third.

So after four races a favourite is yet to win.

First race – Ocean Wave (11-1) – Generational the 6-5 favourite was fifth.

Second race – Smoke Haze – (16-1) – Above All Links – the 4-5 favourite second

Third race – Funky Fashion – (4-1) – Top Gear 1-2 favourite second.
