KINGSTON, Jamaica – Leading rider Dane Nelson who has nine rides on the 10-race programme currently in progress at Caymanas Park rode his first winner in the seventh race after some close second-place finishes.
The “Warrior Chief” put his seventh race mount, Classy Miss in front from the get go in the Restricted Allowance contest for five-year-olds and upwards travelling five furlongs round and after that there was no looking back.
Classy Miss, the 4-5 favourite won by 1 ¾ lengths in front of Mother Nature (Ian Spence 5/2) with Herecomestheboss (Jordan Barrett 99-1) in the third slot.
Classy Miss gave her trainer Norman Rose his second winner in 2020.
