Champion apprentice Oshane Nugent falls, injured during exercise - not riding today (Feb 13)

KINGSTON, Jamaica - Champion apprentice for 2021 Oshane Nugent suffered a major fall yesterday (Feb 12) at exercise when his mount a three-year-old bolt through the rails close to the seven-furlong marker.

Nugent was unconscious for a while and was quickly taken to hospital by attending exercise medics. It is understood that Nugent quickly regained consciousness and is being kept in hospital under close observation.

Nugent will not be riding today.
