KINGSTON, Jamaica – Following a change of stables Billiejo was able to earn a fighting win in the second of nine races on the Caymanas Sunday card currently in progress.

Now trained by Ryan Darby with Paul “Country Man” Francis in the saddle, Billejo waited until a furlong was completed in the five round contest for three-year-old maidens before seizing the initiative from early leader Lava Boy (Raddesh Roman).

Francis pushed Billiejo, racing at odds of 3 -1, further ahead when entering the straight but had to dig deep in her reserves to hold the persistent challenge of Lava Boy, to gain the win by a short head.

Third went to Dorthebutcher (Matthew Bennett)

The 3-5 favourite Triple Seven (Roger Hewitt) dissipated all her chances by being slowly out.
