KINGSTON, Jamaica – The fifth race on today’s Caymanas Saturday (December 5) card provided another major shake for bettors as the Wilfred Chin trainee won at compelling odds of 24-1.
Ridden by apprentice Jordan Barrett, Big Paul was beside leader Polly B (Chris Mamdeen) from the start of the 5 ½ furlong contest for $350,000 - $300,000 claimers.
When they turned for home 4-5 favourite Pakman challenged early but Big Paul was in no mood to let go.
At the end, it was Big Paul by 4 ½ lengths over Pakman with Polly B third.
