KINGSTON, Jamaica – Big Big Daddy is now a winner of two races after his triumph in the Caymanas Saturday eighth but it marked the first time that the now four-year-old was actually passing the winning post in front of rivals.

Big Big Daddy’s first recorded win came on September 27, 2020 following the disqualification of Primal Fear.

Ridden today (Jan 9, 2021) by Dane Dawkins and trained by Gary Subratie, Big Big Daddy scooted to the front from the off and although challenged by Elitist (Roger Hewitt) down the backstretch and stable companion Olde Wharf in the stretch drive, Big Big Daddy was in an uncompromising mood.

He showed a lot grit as he pushed away the pesky Olde Wharf, to give Subratie a one-two finish in the event.

Third went to War of the Roses (Nicholas Hibbert).

The race lost a lot of its shine after heavy favourite SenCity behaved badly in the gates and was declared a late non-starter.
