KINGSTON, Jamaica – Bern Notice, a three-year-old chestnut colt by Bern Identity – Blufield, got off the mark in the first event this season for three-year-olds run at the two-turn distance of nine furlongs and 25 yards.

With Omar Walker doing the riding duties for champion trainer Anthony Nunes, Bern Notice was kept off the blistering early pace set by Moneyman (Calvin Bailey) who at one stage down the backstretch was 12 lengths ahead of the field.

Bern Notice started his winning effort with five furlongs left in the race on the rails.

As expected Moneyman after his front running antics started to fade as Bern Notice picked up momentum.

When Bern Notice found his best stride in the straight, he pulled away to win by eight lengths in a time of 2:00.3.

Seven Stars was second with Heavenly Glitter occupying the third slot.
