Anthony Thomas strikes first on Key Witness in Caymanas Sunday second – leads by six in jockeys’ race

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Title chasing jockey Anthony Thomas who started today (Sun, Nov 29) five wins ahead of Dane Nelson added one more when he guided the Anthony Subratie trained Key Witness to victory in the second race.

Thomas stayed well off the pace set from the start by Chief of State (Dane Nelson) in the Optional Claimer ($650,000 - $600,000) competed for over 6 ½ furlongs.

Key Witness started his decisive run with three furlongs to go on the outside getting closer to the leaders on entering the straight.

Thomas had to dig deep to keep Key Witness going but in the end pulled away to win by 2 ¾ lengths.

Second went to Pleasant Secret (Aaron Chatrie) and third to Dracarys (Nicholas Hibbert).

Thomas now leads Nelson by six wins in the race for championship honours.
