KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jockeys Anthony Thomas and Dane Nelson continued their recent raging battle in a Restricted Allowance for five-year-olds and upwards non-winners of four coming down the five straight course.

That was the third race of 10 on the St Leger race day currently taking place at Caymanas Park.

This time Thomas piloted the Dennis Pryce trained Miss Elaine and Nelson gave guidance to Chief of State trained by Spencer Chung.

The two were locked together with 2 ½ furlongs left in the contest and it was Thomas and Miss Elaine by a head over Chief of State. A head also separated second Chief of State and Sty Stalloon (Raddesh Roman).

The win by Thomas brought him level with Nelson at the top of the jockeys’ championship. Both riders now have 45 winners each.
