KINGSTON, Jamaica – It was jockey Anthony Thomas at his best that brought Just An Illusion victory in the second Ash Wednesday race at Caymanas Park moments ago.

Just An Illusion trained by Lawrence Freemantle left the gates quickly in the five-round – maiden three-year-old contest followed by Powerman (Oshane Nugent – 24-1) and the 3-5 favourite and first-time runner Generational (Linton Steadman).

Entering the straight, Just An Illusion was still in the lead but was now being challenged by Generational who actually went in front running green but Thomas rallied Just An Illusion on the inside rails and got the lead just before the winning post.

The winning margin was three-parts of a length.

Third was Powerman.
