KINGSTON, Jamaica – Trying to make it three wins from three career starts importee Race Car got off to a sputtering start but his jockey Dane Nelson was never perturbed as he gradually went through the pack of rivals to be in striking distance coming into the lane.

She’s A Hit (Chris Mamdeen) as expected sped to the front followed by Eagle One (Romario Spencer) and Solid Approach (Daniel Satchell).

Eagle One took them into the straight but by then Race Car was fully revved up. That was then that, as Race Car trained by Spencer Chung accelerated with the overdrive on to take the lead from a furlong out winning by four lengths.

Eagle One was second with Solid Approach third.

The winning time was a fast `1:19.1. It was only yesterday (Saturday, July 11) that Toona Ciliata ran 1:19.2.

This was the second winner on the day for Nelson.
