Abigail Able gets career win #2 on 5-1 chance, Rojorn di Pilot in the 3rd race at Caymanas Park

A smiling apprentice - Abigail Able makes the joyous trek to the winners' enclosure on Rojorn di Pilot.

KINGSTON, Jamaica – There was great excitement at the track just moments ago as race goers showed their love for apprentice Abigail Able who probably gave her best ever riding performance to bring home the Wayne DaCosta trained 5-1 chance, Rojorn di Pilot in the third of 10 races.

“Little Abbi” as Able has been dubbed by racing fans, sat in the cat’s bird seat as she watched Graydon (Dane Dawkins) set the fractions in the one-mile Overnight Allowance contest.

Waiting patiently, Able joined Graydon at the top of the straight and then pulled away for a comfortable 4 ½ length victory.

It was really pleasing to see Able putting down the whip in the final furlong – using hands alone on Rojorn di Pilot.

Graydon was second with old-timer and even money favourite, Hover Craft finishing third.

Rojorn di Pilot gave Able her second career win. The winning time was 1:40.1.
